Wells Christmas Tide Festival 2023

This years events will start off with carol singing on the Buttlands at Wells-next-the-Sea, at about 6pm. The music will be by Fakenham Town Band. Please come along and join in. There will be mulled cider and an events stall.
Saturday 25th November 2023
There will be free parking on the old Ark Royal car park, all day.
The Christmas Tide day starts at 10 am, the entertainers include:- face painting,Primo Robot, stilt walkers, Bellfolk, Peter Piper, 2nd Sunset Band, Punch & Judy, Mike Fox, Fakenham Town Band, Blakeney Wild Rovers, Fakenham Ukes, Fire eaters, Balloon modelling and Norwich Samba Band.
There will also be lots of craft stalls, at the Wells Health Centre car park and in the Wells Maltings, which will be there, also on the Sunday, there will also be food and drink stalls on the Staithe Street Car Park.
The Wells Town Christmas Lights will be switched on by David Whiteley (ITV news presenter) at about 4-15pm, followed by the parade to the Quayside, at about 4-30pm with the Piper leading, followed by the Samba Band, Fire eaters and the lantern possession. When they arrive on the Quayside, Father Christmas will arrive, from the North Pole, by boat and to announce his arrival, a Spectacular Fireworks display will erupt over the Marshes.
The Wells Christmas Tree Festival will be open in the Congregational Hall, Clubs Lane, from Friday 4pm until 7pm and Saturday and Sunday, 10am – 4pm ish.
Santa Claus will be transported by sleigh, to his specially created grotto at Wells Maltings, to meet children and their families and share a few stories and gifts.
Spaces are strictly limited, and available on the basis of ONE TICKET PER CHILD, with up to a maximum of TWO accompanying adults free.
